Having just returned I have a few comments about the ship. Don't get me wrong I would sail on it again. But some things bugged me. The same things are probably true on all Freedom class ships.
Jogging track: Being up on 12 deck made it unuseable due the deck winds on the sea days and /or the chairs throwen about by the wind. On port days people wandering about made it look like interstate 95 at rush hour. Some where taking their little old time and some where going real fast
Dinning room: The way the work stations are aranged I though I was walking thru the Kitchen to get to my table.
Solarium: No glass roof. No longer can you hide in there on bad weather days.
Helipad: A little small in the first place then thay put benches around the inercircle. Great on a moonlit night but harder to land on. Then theirs the rope from the front mast to the top of the ship over the center of the pad. Can the coast guard even land on the ship? Based on all the air medical I have done I don't think so.
Then their is the topic of Haiti:
Locals let it be known how thankfull thay were to still have jobs. No ships No jobs
The UN meet the ship at the dock to pick up the 120+ pallets we hade on board. Dispute the fact thay spoke no English thay were polite and posed for photo's. SOMEONE PLEASE GET THE U.N. SOME BETTER TRUCKS!!!
