TOPIC: Crown & Anchor gifts

Crown & Anchor gifts 4 years, 1 month ago #109

On our previous cruise (first one with Crown & Anchor membership) we received toiletry bags (very nice). What other types of gifts do you receive as onboard gifts for Crown & Anchor members?

I've gotten the bag, and more recently the picture frame. I have a what amounts too a trophy case here in my computer room. Someday I'll actually have to go and put a photo in the frame.

Sweet. I wish Celebrity did the same thing that Royal Caribbean does. I missed my 'little gift' when we were on our Celebrity cruises.

I have received the cosmetic bag, picture frames, the white tote bag, and most recently a blue tote bag. I also have several key chains and document holders I won playing trivia.

I'm not bragging, my point is if any of you would like any of these items send me a personal messsage with your address and I might just send you a Christmas gift.

On our 4 most recent cruises, it seems to be the tote bag on every cruise. However it did take a couple cruises to figure out that each Tote had the name of the ship, so I guess they are all a little different.
I can suggest that if you ever go on a Members Cruise, make sure to leave room in your suitcase before traveling, as you recieve new and different gifts everynight in your stateroom. Tote Bags, flashlights, pens, backpacks that extend out to be a suitcase, picture frames, travel documents, etc.

A gift every day? Now that sounds absolutely wonderful.

I have received the Crown and Anchor postcards, the tote bags, the toiletry bags, the picture frames.

I have a RCI addiction to items. I collect them - I have brochures dating years back as well.

If anyone is interested in selling or trading anything, feel free to email me.

I even have a name badge/tag of my favorite bar waiter- he was excellent. He was on Rhapsody and now on another ship.

I have two bins filled with RCI stuff. I am an RCI addict, unfortunately!

I was thinking about buying some of those but was apprehensive about it. (not YOURS specifically but in general) Do you have to buy for your exact ship and have coupons only for your Crown and Anchor level?

Thanks for any insight!

The crown and anchor coupons are either diamond, platinum or gold status. There are certain coupon books for 3-4 day cruises and 5-7 day cruises from what I understand. I have a bunch of 5-7 day cruise coupon books - all at platinum value - they are not for a specific ship, just specific for length of sailing. I never guaranteed on ebay that they would work for a non member but from my experience, RCI employees never ask to see your card (to check status). Typically, you hand them the coupon, tell them your cabin number and you get your free item/discount.

They sometimes fudge the actual status, when a cruise has an above average number of people have issues with the correct credits being in place. Somehow, I've never actually been on the side that gains from that.

Likewise, the receptions, typically they'll take your word for it, unless you simply can't sell it with a straight face.
