I'm doing the Fjords on the 25th June and the final Autumn Getaway on the 22nd October. Anyone else aboard?

LOL! Wish I could. Have you seen the rip-off prices now? I'm so glad I booked before. They've even raised the prices for the now dreadful souvenir tat onboard. Talk about milking every penny out of her before she goes.

Historic ship, yet she'll wind-up a footnote between the QM1 and QM2. Though that will be many years from now.

What strikes me curious, is how we read so much about how QM2 was a true ocean liner, which she is by all rights, design, and intent. Yet the Queen Victoria hasn't had any of that press. I had thought I read that she is another edition of Carnivals Vista class. If so, I have to still wonder what modifications were made to deal with the greater amount of deep ocean travel she will do.

I think she'll be long gone before QM2 retires. I can't see her being a success in Dubai when there are all those resorts to compete with. I could be wrong. Have to see.

If QV is a liner then isn't Ventura as well since she's 'The Superliner designed for Britain'? Maybe if they weren't using a Vista and had proper sterns then QV wouldn't have got that dent.
