Hi All.

Lee and Ron here... actually in Canton, GA, a NW suburb of Atlanta. We love to cruise! Our first cruise was in 1982 on the Carnival ship Mardis Gras. As typical 1st timers we had an inside cabin deep within the bowels of the ship with an elevator on one side of the cabin and the stairs wrapping around two other sides. The noise was unbelievable (remember those old ships had WOODEN stairs..clop, clop, clop all day and night) And get this...we had bunkbeds. We both got seasick but did have a blast over three days. But it took me over twelve yrs. to get the wife back on board another cruise ship. We've sailed Carnival, Princess and Royal Carib. Eight cruises later we are RCCL addicts. We've sailed on the Navigator, Mariner and the Freedom. Next cruise is in 135 days on the Libery of the Seas!

Welcome!

When I sail out of Miami, I drive down, by way of Kennesaw, GA. I stopped there years ago, and it is the perfect half-way point in the trip down. Curiously, its also about the same drive-time from there to any of the ports, all the way out to Texas.

I had the chance to attend the 1996 Olympics, and have had the itch to move there on occasion. Not sure I could make the jump from being the poster-child illustration of Yankee, to shopping at Underground Atlanta.

Well, Kennesaw is very near us. Life outside of Atlanta (about 35 miles NW) is very different from Atlanta itself except for the traffic which is EVERYwhere down here. A good cruise week just takes one away from this hustle and bustle and quiets the nerves and sooths the soul...only 130 days until we sail the Liberty!
